Seminar Description:
This is a course designed to familiarize pool and spa personnel with changes in the NEC which may affect them. Article 680 of the NEC specifically addresses requirements unique to swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, immersion pools, fountains, hydromassage bathtubs, etc. The course includes: (1) how the NEC is developed, (2) adoption of the NEC by state, (3) relevant historical timetable for various NEC requirements that can affect work on older pools, (4) significant changes to the 2020 and 2023 editions, (5) changes to the 2026 edition, and required upgrades incorporated in the newer editions.
